Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Bored Labs project platform (“Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Bored Labs provides an invitation-only project management platform for architecture and design clients. The Platform enables project tracking, file sharing, design review, material selection, and communication between clients and the Bored Labs team.

3. Account Registration

Access to the Platform is by invitation only. When you receive an invitation and register an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. All accounts are authenticated through Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under your account on the Platform.

You may invite one partner or household member to share access to your project. You are responsible for ensuring that your invited partner also agrees to these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform only for its intended purpose of managing your architecture and design project with Bored Labs. You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with unauthorized individuals
• Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or project data
• Use the Platform for any commercial purpose unrelated to your project
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate the Platform

5. Intellectual Property

Platform

The Platform, including its design, code, features, and functionality, is owned by Bored Labs and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for the duration of your project.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Platform, including images, documents, and project information. By uploading content, you grant Bored Labs a limited license to store, display, and use that content as necessary to provide the Platform's services and manage your project.

Design Work

Ownership of architectural and design work produced by Bored Labs is governed by your separate design services agreement, not these Terms.

6. Project Information

Information you provide during registration and throughout your project, including budget ranges, timelines, and project details, is used solely for the purpose of managing your project. This information may be viewed by the Bored Labs team and is subject to our Privacy Policy.

7. Availability and Modifications

We strive to keep the Platform available and functional but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, update, or discontinue features of the Platform at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes that affect your use of the Platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Bored Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

The Platform is a project management and communication tool. It does not replace professional architectural, engineering, legal, or financial advice. All design and construction decisions should be made in consultation with licensed professionals.

9. Termination

Bored Labs may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you violate these Terms or if your project with Bored Labs concludes. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us.

Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases. We will retain your project data for a reasonable period to allow you to request an export, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
